As you arrive at Salalah Airport, you’re immediately struck by the salty ocean breeze that surrounds you. With excitement building in your chest, you step onto the transfer that will take you to your hotel, eager to start your adventure in Oman’s Dhofar region.
Upon arriving at the hotel, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and a comfortable bed to rest in. The next morning, after a delicious breakfast, you set out to explore the region’s many cultural highlights. Your first stop is the awe-inspiring Mosque of Sultan Qaboos, where the intricacies of the architecture take your breath away.
As you journey through the region’s lush plantations of coconut, banana, and papaya, you’re struck by the natural beauty of the area. You then visit the Al Baleed Museum to learn more about the rich history and culture of Dhofar. A quick photo opportunity awaits you at the Old Sultan Palace before you embark on a shopping excursion at the bustling Frankincense Souk.
As the sun sets on your first day, you return to your hotel, filled with anticipation for what tomorrow will bring.
Day two begins with an adventure through the eastern and western parts of Salalah. You’re transported back in time as you explore the old fishing village of Taqah, followed by a visit to the ancient Taqah Castle that tells tales of the region’s rich heritage.
Next, you’re left spellbound by the ancient ruins of Sumharam (Khor Rohri) before venturing to the refreshing Wadi Derbat and its famous waterfalls. As you journey to the natural spring of Ain Razat, the crystal clear waters leave you feeling rejuvenated and in awe of the beauty of Mother Nature.
Your travels lead you to the Qara mountains, where you explore the western part of Salalah before reaching the majestic Mughsail Beach. The white sand against the deep blue ocean, natural blowholes, and rocky beach with a cave-like entrance take your breath away.
As your trip comes to an end, you pack your bags and bid farewell to the enchanting Dhofar region. Your transfer takes you from your hotel to Salalah Airport, where you take one final glance at the breathtaking scenery around you, promising to return again to this magical place.

Embark on a cultural journey through Oman's Dhofar region with our City Tour, starting after a delightful breakfast. Our first stop is the Mosque of Sultan Qaboos, a stunning architectural masterpiece that is sure to impress. We then drive through the lush plantations of coconut, banana, and papaya, providing a refreshing and scenic experience. Next, we visit the Al Baleed Museum, where you can learn about the rich history and culture of Dhofar. We will also make a stop at the Old Sultan Palace for a photo opportunity. Our tour includes a shopping visit to the bustling frankincense Souk, where you can indulge in traditional clothes, crafts, and cosmetics. You can then relax and unwind at the hotel overnight.
Explore the beauty of both the eastern and western regions of Salalah with our East & West Salalah tour, starting after a delicious breakfast. Begin your journey in the old fishing village of Taqah, where you can visit the century-old Taqah Castle and learn about the history of the region. Continue on to the ancient ruins of the once-famous city of Sumharam (Khor Rohri), an impressive archaeological site that is sure to leave you in awe.
Our tour then proceeds to Wadi Derbat, where you can experience the famous waterfalls and marvel at the natural beauty of the area. On the way back to western Salalah, we will explore the natural spring of Ain Razat and proceed to the Qara mountains to explore the western part of Salalah. We will end the day at the breathtaking Mughsail Beach, where you can witness the white sand meeting the deep blue of the ocean at high tide, and witness waves bursting through the natural titanic Blow Holes at the far end of the rocky beach with a cave-like entrance.
After an adventurous day, return to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
On Day 4, we invite you to experience the wonders of the Al Rub al Khali, also known as the Empty Quarter. This vast sand sea, covering more than 650,000 square kilometers, is a place of extreme contrasts, with both harsh and hospitable conditions.
We will drive to Shisr Village, where you can visit the ruins of the Lost City of Ubar, a remarkable treasure only discovered in 1992 with the help of a NASA satellite. From there, we proceed to Khazaf Dunes, where you can witness a unique sunset experience surrounded by the spectacular dunes with their changing colors, towering slopes, and knife-like ridges.
After a day of exploration and adventure, we will retreat to our Desert Camp for dinner and an overnight stay, where you can enjoy the peacefulness and beauty of the desert.
As the sun rises and casts its golden light over the desert, we welcome you to a delicious breakfast at our campsite. Energized and ready for the day's adventure, we embark on a journey to Wadi Doka, a UNESCO World Heritage Listed Wadi.
This protected stretch of over seven thousand frankincense trees is a sight to behold, and if we are lucky, we may even have the chance to meet some Bedouins and their majestic black camels.
As the day comes to a close, we drive back to Salalah, where you can unwind and reflect on the memories made during your time in this enchanting region. Overnight in the comfort of your hotel, with the sounds of the desert still ringing in your ears.
