The Hyundai Accent Sedan: A Stylish and Affordable Compact Car

When it comes to compact cars, the Hyundai Accent Sedan has been a popular choice for many years. It offers a stylish and modern design, excellent fuel efficiency, and a comfortable ride, all at an affordable price. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the features and benefits of the Hyundai Accent Sedan.

Overview of the Hyundai Accent Sedan

The Hyundai Accent Sedan is a four-door compact car that seats up to five people. It’s available in three trim levels: SE, SEL, and Limited. The SE and SEL trims are powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 120 horsepower and 113 lb-ft of torque. The Limited trim comes with a slightly more powerful 1.6-liter engine that produces 130 horsepower and 119 lb-ft of torque. All trims come standard with a six-speed manual transmission, while a six-speed automatic is available as an option.

Exterior Design

The Hyundai Accent Sedan has a sleek and modern exterior design. It features a bold front grille, sharp headlights, and a sporty profile. The SE and SEL trims come standard with 15-inch steel wheels, while the Limited trim gets 17-inch alloy wheels. Other exterior features include heated side mirrors, a power sunroof, and LED taillights.

Interior Design and Features

Inside, the Hyundai Accent Sedan offers a spacious and comfortable cabin. The seats are supportive and offer plenty of legroom and headroom for both front and rear passengers. The SE and SEL trims come standard with cloth upholstery, while the Limited trim gets leather upholstery. Other standard features include air conditioning, a six-way adjustable driver’s seat, and a 5-inch infotainment display. Higher trims offer additional features such as a 7-inch touchscreen, a proximity key with push-button start, and automatic temperature control.

Performance and Fuel Efficiency

The Hyundai Accent Sedan is an efficient car that offers excellent fuel economy. With the manual transmission, it gets an EPA-estimated 33 mpg combined (29 mpg city/39 mpg highway) for the SE and SEL trims, and 32 mpg combined (28 mpg city/38 mpg highway) for the Limited trim. With the automatic transmission, fuel economy drops slightly to an EPA-estimated 32 mpg combined (28 mpg city/37 mpg highway) for all trims.

a lot of trunk space for this class of car. Cargo capacity maxes out at 15 cubic feet, more than most competitors, and the trunk space has enough depth to accommodate larger items. The load floor is relatively low for a sedan, and the rear seats fold down, but not flat, if needed. Small-item storage is not a strong suit. The center armrest is optional and can barely fit a smartphone. Child seat accommodation is better. There is good space for a rear-facing seat in the back. The lower car-seat anchor points are hidden between cushions, but they're easy to locate and attach to. The rear seats have integrated headrests, requiring you to wrap the strap around them to attach to the rear tether hooks.
